The Spirit Lantern is a charming twist on the common kerosene lamp or kandil, which was once a fixture at every household, and remains so in the rural areas even today.
The Indian Hornbill painted on this piece is believed to be the connected to higher ethers by the Dayak people of Borneo.
It is equally revered in Africa, Southeast Asia, and is the state bird of Kerala.
The Spirit Lantern brings in the symbolism of higher spirits and illumination to your chosen space. It is a perfect example of how something common can inspire out-of-the-box artistic creations and break old mental conditioning to give a fresh perspective on overlooked objects.

Details of open cabinet showing internal shelving and storage possibilities.
An early hand-sketch of a cabinet inspired by kerosene lamps from an age long gone.

Also available with an eye-catching abstract seascape.
While we think the Hornbill is super cool, we recognise that not everyone feels the same way. The Spirit Lantern is also available with alternate original artwork of an abstract seascape.
